My investment portfolio story

It’s been a while, and for the past few months I’ve had this itch to blog my investment journey by documenting the performance of my own portfolio. I’ll finally bite the bullet and start this weekend. The purpose of this is not to brag, educate or advise, but to keep myself accountable as an investor and help refine my writing.

A bit of background: I have been investing in Australian and international (mainly US) shares for a little over a decade and over the years I have enjoyed some nice highs and suffered a few bruising lows, always with money I’ve been prepared to lose and the net result being able to eventually supplement a mortgage deposit which did reset my portfolio, however I quickly got back into reconstructing my portfolio and years later am now in a stage again where I’m intending to take this a lot more seriously as a secondary income that can give me a bit more financial freedom.

I will be sharing my holdings, percentage performance and my buys/sells and watch list. If any fellow hobby retail investors actually see this, feel free to discuss – I do find this a very fun topic and love to get some insight on other people’s insight and psychology.
